I am glad to know that Media Promotions Pvt. Ltd. is holding the Goa International Marine and Boat Expo at Kala Academy, Panaji - Goa from 17 to 20 December 2010.

Goa has a long tradition of Maritime History and this has engendered longstanding seafaring traditions, which are seen even today, in the large population of seamen in the State, as well as in the fact that young Goans win medals in sailing and represent the country in international competitions in this Olympic sport.

Goa is blessed with a wonderful coastline fringed with some of the best beaches in the world, and hospitable people. This tropical paradise is poised to become India's leisure boating capital.

Over the years, members of Goa Yachting Association have been dedicated in training small kids, both boys and girls, to learn competitive sailing and they have been winning championships over the past few years in junior and senior categories bringing laurels to the State of Goa.

Since past several years, Goa Yachting Association has been involved in organizing several nationals. Yachting is one of the few sports where Goa competes and wins medals at the National level.
